Here is a piece of concept art I painted with the input of fellow Concept Artist Felix Bauer Schlichtegroll eploring the concept of the open world of Battlefield Firestorm. During the production of Firestorm I worked as a concept artist with the Criterion Team across this mode's environment, assets and VFX. Set in idylic rural Norway, Halvøy is expansive and crosses multiple biomes.
Working closely with Art Director Steve Uphill and Lead Environment Artist Chris Bense, I was responsible for creating keyart that set that set a visual target that could be handed over to the wider team, most prominanetly the Environment Art team who using asset libraries made by the artists at DICE Stockholm and EA Shanghai built the Narvik Map.
A big shout out to the rest of the team at Criterion, who at some point, in some way, would have made a valuable contribution to making this world a virtual reality.
